Introduction
Al Murar, commonly called Freej Al Murar, is a popular residential community in Dubai, UAE. Its name derives from the vibrant tribal community that inhabited the area. Today, it showcases an eclectic mix of modernity and Arabian cultural roots.
Client’s Requirement
Our client from Al Murar was looking forward to extending his villa. In this home renovation project, we had to construct a new floor to accommodate two bedrooms, two bathrooms, one living room, a bar area, and one dressing room with all modern amenities.
Challenges faced
The primary challenge was synchronizing the new addition with the existing villa architecture. The final design would be a delicate balance of modern and traditional elements. Also, space optimization was a big hurdle.
Our approach
Our team of house renovation experts in Dubai studied the intricacies of the existing design and the villa’s aesthetics. We employed innovative space optimization techniques in the bar, bathroom, and dressing room. As seen in the images, the rooms present a blend of classic motifs and contemporary elements while treading the minimalistic line. We carried out all civil work, joinery work, ceiling work, flooring, wall paint, windows, doors, tiling, vanity, ceiling, fixtures, and glass works wherever required.
Materials used
As we worked on the entire floor design, we used various materials to add durability, endurance, and diversity to the final structures. So, depending on the place type, we went for concrete blocks, steel bars (for slab), gypsum, SS framing for the ceiling, drywall sheet, paint, lights, wires, PVC pipes, marble top, and plaster.
Cost
As required by the client, we ensured value for money. The total expenses incurred on the project were a modest 250,000 AED.
Project duration
We wrapped up the project well within time. The new floor was all ready to welcome the proud owner in just two months from the start date. JA Renovation successfully delivered another home renovation project.
